About Click in!

This site was produced by Ames Sawyer for his senior project capstone at Freeport High School. I am currently an incoming freshman at The University of Wisconsin, Madison.

In 2024 I wanted to earn the community service credit my high school provides to students who complete over sixty hours of community service. As a neurodiverse individual with a lot of classes, team sports, without flexible transportation volunteering in person was a challenge. I decided to look online for interesting opportunities and discovered the wonderful world of crowdsource volunteering for citizen science and history.

For my senior project capstone in the spring of 2025 I decided to revisit my adventures on Zooniverse and elsewhere by creating materials to promote and encourage other students who have in-person volunteering challenges to consider crowdsource volunteering as a great way to give back, earn credit, and add to their college applications.

The result is Click in! My online resource kit for students, teachers, and anyone who wants to encourage people to perform meaningful work that contributes to science, history and more around the world.
